If you have a new or replacement driveway of any size installed by Crown Driveways that uses permeable (or porous) surfacing
which allows water to drain through - such as gravel, permeable concrete, block paving or porous asphalt, or if any rainwater is directed to a lawn or border to drain naturally - you don't need planning permission...
For large areas of a driveway using Gravel we recommend the use of a recycled plastic grid system. Making the drive much more user friendly to both pedestrians and vehicular traffic as well as reducing scatter and drift.
Instead of turning all your front garden over to a driveway, why not keep some if it as a lawn that doubles as extra parking space when needed? The grid system will enable you to protect your lawn, even when parking cars on it!
When planning to construct a driveway, block paving is certainly a popular choice. This is due to the almost countless different designs available.
One of the main advantages of block paving is the ease of maintenance and repair. If underground access is required; it’s easy to reform by replacing only the existing blocks, leaving no trace of any previous repairs or any visible disturbances.

Excellent service from start to finish. We were visited at home to discuss options and preferences and a quote was provided. Work commenced on the agreed date and we were kept informed at all stages of exactly what was happening. Delivery was to an excellent standard and we were very impressed with the end result. We were contacted after the work was completed to check that we were satisfied, which we surely were.
